Unhealthy Dinner That's Tempting

Coming home to these oily treats is just tempting. Admittedly, they are unhealthy because they are both oily, even though Canola oil was used to fry them. Canola oil is actually healthier to use compared to other oils to use, but, oil is oil. 


Using Olive oil to fry them would have been healthier, but we ran out of Olive oil.. 


Anyhow, a bite or two wouldn't hurt..

The Making of Lumpia Wrapper

Have you ever wondered how Lumpia wrapper is made? One time, while I was buying some, I happened to see how they were made. At the second floor of the Cogon Market, near the vegetables section, there were three Lumpia producers/sellers.

Each of them sell freshly made wrappers that come in two sizes. For this, I ordered large size wrappers, and wow, they were fast in making my ordered wrappers. 


Two people making them. One places the batter, the other removes cooked ones.. 


It was actually very interesting. Unfortunately, there are some issues on health and sanitation. The area is not that clean. Blame it on the space they are moving, and the location perhaps. But if I am to recommend some changes, I suggest they get full extension drawer slides at ovis that can be used when they need extra counters or work areas.

Breakfast Lunch and Dinner

Who would have thought that eating one kind of food for all meals can be good. Not healthy though. But today was really a very busy day, and we didn't have time to choose what to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had to finish all of the documents that we need to submit. So since we have Jollibee near our school, we simply had them delivered. 


Funny because we ordered a extra sets that turned out to be ours to eat until dinner. No choice really, since we could not go out anyway..

Delivery came, and two huge Dark Chocolates are at home for us to enjoy..

Pizza Time: Spicy Peppermint Basil Minced Meat with Cubed Cheddar, Garlic and Onions


Today I came home to finish my tasks. By afternoon, I felt tired so I stood and moved away from the computer to freshen up and make pizza in time for afternoon snacks. 


Of course, I didn't make the pizza dough, it's store bought, so with the pizza sauce. 


Spread the sauce evenly on the dough, then layer Peppermint and Basil leaves. 


In a bowl, season minced meat with Italian Seasoning, Cayenne Pepper, Olive oil, salt and a little sugar. When mixed, spread them all over, atop the Peppermint and Basil leaves. 



Then add cubed Cheddar Cheese, Onions and Garlic. Looking at the cheese, I wonder why I am reminded of Cozy Winters..


Cook in a turbo broiler 350 C for 30 minutes. 


On a wooden chopping board, slice the pizza.. yum.,.
